    I just tried the latest 1.54 build on a Win8 pro build with Xonar STX, and works perfect 🙂

    qaz ,Can you make the same for Xonar DG w/ win7 64.Adding new functionlity or enhencement is now required for Xonar DG,As amatter of fact Xonar DG HeadPhone
    Amp enhencement is also required, Studio Sound FX (Freeware) a Winamp plugin can be added to the Xonar card.

      I don't understand you.
      But as I said, it's easy to expand the mod to any other Xonar by comparing the difference in original .inf files and applying the same changes to the .inf from my mod.

    I've got a problem with the front panel with my STX. I've got v1.54 installed. I hooked up my PC cases front panel wires to the sound card and no sound comes out of the jack although the rear outputs work fine. Any ideas? I've got the C-media panel running but there's no settings there.

    Thanks for the drivers.

      Your comment is a little bit confusing since you say you just hooked front panel so you don't know if it ever worked.
      You can launch Xonar Audio Center from programs and from there you can switch to Front Panel. If this does not work , try with Asus drivers so we know if there is a bug in the new version of UNi Xonar or its a connection problem.

    Installed 1.62 beta #1 and finally I got rid of the problems I had.
    Now the 5.1 sound works as it should work with browsers, with the 2CH System Input setting (never worked for me).
    After a while, the right speaker was getting lower volume than the rest. A restart was nedeed. Now I have the same volume in all speakers with my computer turned on for 2 days. Never happened before 🙂
    Win7 x64 and Xonar D1.
    Thank you!

      Thanks for the feedback. What are you referring to with 5.1 sound works with browsers, are you referring to stereo upmix? And if so which setting did you use, 2/5.1 or 6/5.1?

        Yes, stereo upmix. Never worked for me with browsers. I don't know what do you refer when you say "which setting". For the upmix to work with browsers, I set 2CH in System Input and 6 spks at Analog Output.

          Maybe u have set your sample rate in windows audio settings above 48KHz. This is now working with the driver version 1807.

            LOL I always set sample rate above 48kHz.
            Aaaaaaaand it's back! The lower volume only in right speaker...It's fine after boot up, but after a while it gets lower only in that speaker. Don't know why or what trigger this.

              Did u set ur volume inn Windows higher then 75 % . If yes dont do it! Use maximum 75% windwows volume. Or your card is faulty and needs to be RMAed. It sounds like some capacitor or one channel from the DAC have problems.

          I wanted to know if you used 2/5.1 or 6/5.1. Thanks for the feedback.

    @CarvedInside

    Thanks for the updated drivers and the effort you put in providing the custom drivers!

    I have only one issue though... Every time I update the drivers the PC hangs on during boot (after the windows logo) after I reboot it from the drivers installation and have to hard reset the system, then it boots fine!

    Otherwise there are no issues and I even use GX so I can use "hardware accelerated" openal with Winamp.
    UniXonar v1.62 beta1, Windows 7 x64 SP1, Xonar D2X

    Cheers!

      There is no hardware acceleration, unless a game uses OpenAL directly. I don't know though if the driver offers that kind of possibility though. Read what virus already wrote about GX and EAX5 so called "emulation" (which is probably not, according to the information virus wrote). So go back a couple of pages and search for virus' comments.

      About you installation problem, please uninstall all xonar drivers, use the batch file and the methods that CarvedInside described in his FAQ section.

      I think its a windows/system related issue, some kind of conflict is happening, from what I remember no one else had something like this. Like Masterfaster suggested, next time you install the drivers do a driver clean.

    what an amazing job all you guys did here. I purchased xonar dg couple of weeks ago and I owned some SB Live cards back in the day so I know how painful to have a bad driver with your audio card.. I purchased and I didnt even know what you guys did with uni xonar drivers. I simply spread the word and made some of my friends to purchase xonar dg after seeing how solid you guys did with these drivers.Thank you.

        Open CmiMergeSetup chage next:
        WIN7=WINSetup.exe
        WIN8=WINSetup.exe
        rename folder from win8 to win
        open folder and open CmSetx.dll with notepad
        under SupportOS change to "donotcare",save and close.

          I already know how to bypass the check
          In CmSetx.dll if you change the line:
          SupportOS=win8
          to
          SupportOS=win7

          then you can install in Windows 7 (but not on Win8)

          If you replace it with SupportOS=donotcare, it will bypass the OS check completely.

          Anyway, in my Win7 driver packs I used the old installer (just in case).

            The only info I couldn't find is about ATYPE=30

            @Alexa do you know what it is?

            Alexa suggested to use "donotcare" option so you can use the same package for win7 and win8 as it really does not matter and it would be much easier to upload 1 time instead of 2 times.
