    Hi!

Did you know that .bat patches didn't work on Windows 7 at all? Even if run with admin rights.

Yes and no. In some rare cases the bat files might not work. It recently come to my attention that the Xonar settings registry path is changed. Will update the guide on how to point to the right registry settings .

What bat files did you try to use?

It never work for me. I tried ASIO 1.0 patch with 1790 driver and low dcp latemcy + asio 1.0 patch with 1792. Only manually changing files specified in .bat does effect. This problem only at me?

        P.S. Win7 x86

In your case yes! ASIO patch works without any problems. Sample rate bat file on the other hand may not work.

I've noticed that the Xonar U1 has the highest driver version(7.12.8.2140) maybe this mean an updated ASIO...

Well, I tried but it's impossible(for me). I can't make it work. Maybe one day you will put out a release with a normal, simple intall(no batch files and switches and stuff) which has a working audio center. Untill then I will have to stick to the official asus drivers.:(((
    P.S. Using windows 7 ultimate 32bit.

You can directly run setup, just like the normal drivers. The bat files offer different customizations, and they modify the files before the setup. What card do you have?

I really want to try these drivers but speaking as a total noob after looking in the archive i'm not sure which bat file to run! If I want low dpc do I lose the c-media panel? Or am I able to run a couple of different bat files and get low dpc panel and the asio patch? Sorry if this is a totally stupid thing to say but im only blonde and easily confused!

      🙂
If you run low DPC latency you will get a customized version of the drivers with Asus Control Panel ,which wont autostart anymore. C-Media Panel is low DPC latency by default but you might not find all options in it. You can only combine one of the bat files from 1-4 with asio patch, you can't combine between 1-4 bat.

The site you used to host is terribly slow. 20kb/s
    Might try mediafire, filesmelt, fileserve..

Anyone know of any difference between the 1792 driver just released for STX by asus, and Uni?

The main dl site or the Mirror? Nevertheless I don't think its just a temporary slowdown. If the problem persists I will change the servers.

Except for the fact you did get the drivers 2 weeks earlier:), there aren't any differences. They are exactly the same driver files.

I have a Asus Xonar D2/PM, and no matter what I tried(I ended up trying all the setups and .exe's I could find, did about 20 installations) I couldn't get the audio center to work.:(( Am I missing something?

Check the FAQ page at section 1. Do a clean proper uninstall. Unpack the drivers again and go directly to setup.exe without using and of the .bat files.

Its new for U1. There are different driver files specially for U1 so even if they where newer we wouldn't be able to use them.

I would CarvedInside, but it says that the 1.01 version doesn't upmix stereo to 5.1 anymore, and thats something I care very much about. By the way guys, have these drivers made the bass better for any of you?

    • CarvedInside02 Nov 2010 @ 23:46

All versions don't upmix anymore. Release notes from 1.20 include the ones form 1.01 .There is a way to re-enable it in the FAQ section.

Just change the quartz clock (with another one TCXO - 1ppm or 0.3ppm) on your Xonar and you will have the bass and everything much better... You can find the right thing on eBay, and the way to do it on the internet...

Someone can confront the official 1792 driver for the ST and the UNi Xonar 1792, and tell me the differences? And the differences of the last C-Media and Normal version of 1792 driver?

I have a question. Is possible to change to front panel on Xonar DX using C-Media Control Panel ? Because I did not found any option to do so. ASUS Control panel seems to have some trick to change UDA Node to ALT (check inf). C-Media Panel for me is better, but I need front panel enabler (it my be also a standalone app/bat/something that will work).
