I can tell you how to do it by editing the registry , will contact you by e-mail the following days. Don't know if you also post on the asus forum , cause there is also a topic requesting the same thing. Been meaning to write a guide through but I am a little busy .

    Hi CarvedIns,

I am also interested in the possibility to set the delys on the HDAV 1.3 deluxe.
Is this also doable with the original Asus driver (because of the lack of the uncompressed Audio with you driver)?

Thank You very much in advance!

Does this happening with Asus xonar original drivers? Did you installed C-Media With GX enabled?

Okay so.. I'm still a little confused and I hope someone can answer this question.

I'm using the UNi_Xonar_1792_v1.27 drivers (low latency install), a ASUS Xonar DG soundcard and a Windows XP Pro 32-bit operating system.

In my Xonar Audio Center, I do not see an option to change my bit-rate (from 24-bit to 16-bit for example).

In the driver notes it says: ASIO Bit-perfect (which is default) now works on XP.

So how do I know if "Bit-perfect" is functioning on my system? Let's say I rip a 16-bit/44.1 Khz PCM wave file from a CD and play it through let's say.. Windows Media Player. Are my drivers auto-adjusting the bit-rate to match my source?

And what about auto-sample rate adjustment, is this supported in the drivers? Or do I need to manually change my sample rate to 96 Khz when I watch a DVD, then change it to 48 Khz when I play Bad Company 2, then change it to 44.1 Khz when I listen to .mp3's.

I'm fully aware Xonar's have a "very impressive resampling engine that drops anomolies from resampling below the point of audibility" as quoted from someone who knows a lot more about this stuff then I do. I'm asking this question for all the anal audio purists out there.

Firstly you need to select output to ASIO. Media Player Doesn't support this, Foobar does but you need to download a plugin. There you can adjust the output bit-rate from the ASIO virtual devices configuration.

This new ASIO it was supposed to match the sample rate (at least) , but don't know if it does this correctly. I have to test it a little bit more.
One thing is for sure, Auto sample rate won't work with Direct Sound output (default for Winamp & W Media Player, also all games use it) and you need to manually change it so it matches your source. So basically if you want to enjoy sound to its full potential you need to change to 48 for DVD's and 44.1 for mp3's.
I keep it to 44.1 regardless of the type of media I use.

      Hope this answers your questions

    Hello Everyone

    OS: Win 7 64
    MB: GA-MA770-UD3

I only need the card for to listen to music and watch movies with or without headphones. No recording other than my webcam and no gaming that requires EAX type technology.

Is there some sort of minimum install of the ASUS or BRAINBIT drivers that might allow me to avoid potential issues?

My retailer informs me that he will not accept returns on the card if the issue is drivers and not a physical flaw. Is this reasonable?

I recently changed to these drivers in hopes it would fix my problem with my Asus Xonar D1 audio card. The problem I was having is the sound randomly goes almost deaf in the right ear of my headphones or speaker and its damn annoying. The only fix is rebooting computer. Seems even these drivers don't fix this problem. And it seems other Asus Cards do this as well... Is anyone else experiencing what I'm describing here?

Hi- I've been having some serious trouble installing the unified drivers version 1.26 on my Xonar Essence STX, windows 7 x64 bit (1.27 download is down). After installing, windows is unable to detect the card and no control panel appears, even after a restart. I really want to utilize the c-media control panel - any help would be appreciated!

The new drivers will hopefully be ready later today. Most likely your problem is due to driver signature/certification error and hopefully this is fixed in the driver files.

No, Xp will still use 1792. Those drivers don't contain any other files that can be used for Win XP. Anyway its only a minor update, done in less than a month after 1792 drivers. Most likely Asus & other partners already have access to 1795 or 1796 C-Media base drivers, those I want 🙂

hello first off thanks for the hard work you put into this that asus sadly doesn't.

I get massive "pop" sounds with the normal driver they seem random and can happen in games listening to music or even just in windows doing nothing, will your drivers help this problem? and is there anything else i can do settings wise to help, thanks.

I hope it is the signature/certification error like you say - normal xonar drivers will install fine, but even after wiping them with driver sweeper, your drivers versions 1.26, 1.25 and 1.20 all fail. They install, but windows still detects no sound device and I can't see the C-Media control panel anywhere. Any ideas?

I tried installing 1.28 drivers but I get this error

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Always thrilled when new stuff comes out, but the only uni drivers that worked for my D2 were 1.25 and earlier. There should be this clicking sound when installing driver, none of that happens on 1.26 and later.

I am so sorry that you are having problems installing the later versions. If 1.25 worked, then also the later versions should work.
You get the Driver signature/ certification error? What OS do you have?
If you didn't tried it already, uninstall the drivers and clean the remaining driver files with Driver Sweeper, restart, and try installing the latests version.

Yes, I tried that too, not working.
1.25 and earlier install like a charm every time without any magic tricks. Also normal asus drivers works every time.
My OS is win7 x64. No certification errors on any driver.

Managed to get it working now after uninstalling again and using driver cleaner.

However I notice the driver number is 7.12.8.1792. I thought these were supposed to be .1793 ?
