I just installed the new 1.28 drivers and it is still showing me as using the 1792 drivers when I check in the Asus Audio Center, I am using Win 7 64bit and did a custom install using original audio center and ASIO 2.0.0.02 which installed correctly, should by audio driver version not be 1793?
chuck30 Jan 2011 @ 04:05
Any enhancement for sound fluctuate? Still loud basses reducing volume ?
estranged30 Jan 2011 @ 07:24
Installed the 1.28 version but it is still 17.92 not 17.93
enoch30 Jan 2011 @ 07:36
If you right click on the soundcard in Device Manager and click properties then Driver tab and hit Driver Details you'll see it lists cmudaxp.sys as 7.12.8.1793 🙂
Conditioned30 Jan 2011 @ 09:20
It´s the same for me it says 1792 in both the xonar control panel and Device Manager. I uninstalled and used driversweeper or drivercleaner to clear out the last remnants first.
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 12:54
The driver is in fact 1793, you can check it by doing what enoch previously said . I forgot to edit the ini files, as it isn't that important.
Conditioned30 Jan 2011 @ 13:04
Yea I checked the wrong driver :/
Andrey30 Jan 2011 @ 13:19
CarvedInside once again, thx for the updates!
But i have a one question for you, it kinda silly but i really forget, what did ASIO Patch 1.0 do? Should i install it if i have a Windows 7?
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 15:42
Asio 1.0 Patch reverts back to how Asio worked until 1788 drivers. It wasn't sound exclusive, like ASIO bitperfect(2.0). But it uses a driver file from 1788 drivers so I recommend it only if you need back that functionality or because some audio programs don't work with the new asio.
Andrey31 Jan 2011 @ 11:09
Oh, now i get it. Actually i don`t have any troubles with the sund, so i tick with fresh ASIO.
And Carved i have the same issue with icon in tray (didn`t startup with Win 7 and nothing there for the whole time). This problem appeared in 1.27 Uni Drivers BUT didn`t appeared in 1.26 driver! Check ones again maybe you missing something from 1.26 driver. Just for the record i`m using driver with C-Media Panel (GX)

Do not work with my Xonar D2X. He writes (Connect the Xonar) when installing the drivers. What to do?
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 15:13
Please uninstall the old drivers, use Driver sweeper to clean the remaining files, restart and try installing the uni-xonar drivers again. Which Windows do you have?
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 14:41
Some Answers from the previous page .
@VitaX You are not the only one having that problem with a channel going deaf/silent. In my opinion, if your card still has warranty you should send it back as I think its a hardware defect.
@Daniel Try pre-applying "Asio 1.0 Patch" to 1.28 and see if it works.
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 15:02
Depends on what its causing the problem. Your problem might be from xonar card/drivers but it might be from something else(like programs, various "bad" settings, other drivers), interfering with the sound output.
Give us more details like what xonar card and OS do you have installed.
Anyway I suggest try checking "Low DPC Latency" version in the uni drivers installer and not enabling any other options to see if you still get the pops.
If it doesn't help, you might want to install windows again and see if that help.
Desi30 Jan 2011 @ 20:26
Its a pretty clean install of windows 7 64x, iv used driver sweeper to clean old drivers, im using windows 7 ultimate 64bit with a pci asus xonar D2 iv watched my dpc latency and its really low all the time peaking at like 60 it doesn't get bad even when the sound *pops* iv also try different speakers and headphones so I know its the soundcard, il try your new drivers and report back.
CarvedInside31 Jan 2011 @ 10:38
Even if your DPC latency is low, try installing Low DPC latency drivers , as it has some components disabled, which could potentially have something to do with the problem you are having.
sebir8630 Jan 2011 @ 15:27
The old drivers were completely uninstalled. When you install new drivers, the card is not detected. I have Windows 7 Ultimate
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 15:28
1.26 or 1.27 drivers have worked for you?
sebir8630 Jan 2011 @ 15:30
Now I use the Uni Xonar v1.27 1792. They work fine 🙂
CarvedInside30 Jan 2011 @ 15:45
Thats really strange. Lets see if someone else has this problem.
sebir8630 Jan 2011 @ 15:49
I did like you said. Now the Xonar driver UNI 1792-3 v1.28 is installed but does not see the card at all.

In the device manager an exclamation point on the Asus Xonar D2X Audio Device when he writes come: Windows can not verify the digital signature required drivers for this device. The recent change in hardware or software could lead to the installation file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or may be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Just install the driver downloaded from: http://danielkawakami.blogspot.com/
It is work fine this mysterious driver release for win7 ...
sebir8630 Jan 2011 @ 16:52
I installed the drivers from Daniel_K "7.12.8.1793" everything is back to normal. Yours!
VIKINGS30 Jan 2011 @ 17:09
Hello again Carved, glad to see you are keeping up the good work. I just installed the 1.28 drivers and here is what I have so far:
1. Sadly once again the xonar audio center icon wont appear in my system tray. One bad thing about this is I can't use the new asio, as I usually just right click the sys tray icon to get to asio.
2. Might just be me but I think the rear speakers are louder on this driver. Eighter that or the front ones are clogged. Had to play with the mixer to get them back to normal and it still doesn't sound quite right.
3. I think the tracks stutter abit when I start some more demanding processes. This didn't use to happen before, even though I had some clicking at the start of tracks(sometimes, they were random) they were never resource dependant.
P.S. Used normal install with asio 2.0
P.P.S. In case you forgot running windows 7 ultimate 32bit with a xonar D2/PM. And in case I forgot something just ask:P
CarvedInside31 Jan 2011 @ 11:08
Hi:)
Thanks for your input.
1. Can't remember if the icon doesn't autostart or you can't even start the Asus Xonar Audio Center.
2. I can't confirm or deny this, as I don't use Windows 7 for daily use, so its little harder for me to notice this. So maybe someone with Win7 that installed the new drivers can share his opinion on this. Will try to check this anyway.:)
3. Its this when you play through ASIO? If so, have you checked " Update ASio from 2.0.0.1 to 2.0.0.2" in the installation?
VIKINGS31 Jan 2011 @ 19:42
1. The icon doesn't autostart. I can use xonar center from my start button, but that is suck a drag...
2. Yeah, that one was creepy.
3. Nope. I was using aimp2 and that player doesn't support asio, yet. I did check something that had "asio" in the name(I think the last one in the list) but I don't recall exactly what that option was called.
I have uninstalled 1.28 for the moment, and am currently checking the latest official asus drivers.*yuck*:P But they work pretty well so far.
