"there were not any position sound"
Rod Mell25 May 2011 @ 18:42
Is there any way that I can send only the Left & Right channels out the SPDIF and at the same time have all channels go out the Analog outs in our 5.1 system? We have a Essence ST card with H6 daughter board. It would also be okay to have the left and right not be on the analog outs as long as they are on the SPDIF.
This would be a huge help to us - I sure hope there is some way to do it.
Thanks,
Rod

Effects for Xonar's crads for Windows 7 x64 only!
The procedure of installation is the same like for DHT 4.

Alexa my friend, is this a full driver?
Are we suppose to install on top of Unified drivers?
Also, can you give a link to a forum thread where these drivers are made and discussed?
Alexa26 May 2011 @ 11:03
You must already have installed unixonar drivers and enabled onboard Realtek audio and then install this modded driver for realtek and then add to xonar registry effects.

i just remoded my xonar dx to auzen x-meridian 7.1 2g now i lost the eax 5 but now i have eax 3&4 normal not emulated anyway it still works with dolby home theater effects
neries25 May 2011 @ 21:20
but wich sound card is better Xonar DX or auzen x-meridian 7.1 2g??
neries25 May 2011 @ 21:23
and wich is better for games?
Ocet25 May 2011 @ 21:43
i do not own the auzen meridian i just remoded the driver for my xonar to make it meridian and now it have eax 3&4 non emulated i stil have usable c media panel and all those options withgout xear gx i hear some the eax effect now is more accurate not only the echo
neries25 May 2011 @ 22:07
Do I think correct ? Have you installed driver from auzen for your Xonar ?
PTmax26 May 2011 @ 10:19
I think the meridian 2g is also a EAX 2.0 card, just like Xonars. In fact, I think no card, besides the Creatives, supports EAX 3+ anyway...

Heya, Carved. I was wondering if it's possible to have two volume settings - one for speakers and one for headphones for the Xonar Essence STX? Thanks! 🙂
CarvedInside28 May 2011 @ 04:59
I dont know what to say for now, I will look into it. You use a separate output(jack) for headphones that the one for front speakers?
-=WolverinE=-02 Jun 2011 @ 08:05
Well since I have the STX card, I was thinking of something like the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 interface (an audio card I used to own) which has two separate sliders for headphones and speakers volume. When I was originally buying the Asus, I was hoping to have the same functionality, since both cards have a headphone out.
It looked like this: http://www.ixbt.com/multimedia/m-audio-revolution...
I can live without the mute. 😛

PTmax26 May 2011 @ 18:27
Interesting...
Have you heard any difference in games?
And what exactly did you "mod" in order to use the drivers?
FidoBoy26 May 2011 @ 18:52
Very cool... it could be perfect if you could have software emulated EAX5 in some way. DO you think that this could be possible? What do you think people? And what about ASIO and WASAPI does it works also? Are you using Win 7 64bit?
FidoBoy26 May 2011 @ 18:58
Uh, i forgot it... can you share the modded install to test it? I suppose that i'll need to uninstall Xonar drivers first, isn't it?
neries30 May 2011 @ 13:46
uploadujesz Twoje sterowniki? / Will You upload your drivers?
Ocet26 May 2011 @ 19:33
I maked some test and it still not supproting the eax 3&4 i throught it will but that page of everest just lying. When i fix that or mod it to full that i want i will write and upload maybe.
neries27 May 2011 @ 09:48
yeah please upload it 🙂 we are waiting for your moded drivers.
CarvedInside28 May 2011 @ 04:57
I was a little surprised to see that by modding x-meridian 2g drivers for xonar add support for eax 3&4. I don't say its impossible, but the fact is that the original meridian 2g drivers use the same driver files and configuration as Xonar drivers.
Chris Leipold27 May 2011 @ 21:34
Alexa can u please reupload the all in one Realtek driver?!?thanks a lot!!!
Alexa31 May 2011 @ 20:14
Link is updated.
Chris Leipold01 Jun 2011 @ 07:53
Thank u very much mighty Alexa! 😀
LikwidSkwiD28 May 2011 @ 00:54
Neither of the drivers, v1.31 and both test builds, worked for me, because I have a XONAR XENSE, which needs cmedia 8788 driver, but YOUR XENSE.INF installs cmedia 8787.
PLEASE CORRECT THIS MAJOR BUG !!!
I spend hours uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, rechecking, stupid sucking driver signature enforcement overider, and ready driver plus nonsense blablahblah - just for getting nothing but SILENCE until I found our why.
As long as this lame driver mismatch for Xense card and the inacceptable signature problem with Windows 7 x64 persists, I have to say that your work is, please forgive me, nothing but pointless stress and a waste of time.
Besides, ASIO, when using Windows 7, is utter nonsense - as it makes no difference whatsoever, except for your imagination. Fact.
I will now peel some bananas and return to ye olde monkey Asus driver.
CarvedInside28 May 2011 @ 04:48
So you spend all this time trying to say that my work is pointless?
The real fact is that your comment makes little to no sense.
These drivers are based on c-media 8788 drivers so I don't see how it could install Xense as a Cmedia 8787 chip based sound card. But even if it where true, how could I have known?
I have almost nothing to gain from this, and I didn't sell you a "broken" product, I merely try to fix some things, which are documented and you can read from the comments that there those issues were affecting a lot of users. I don't get what else did you expected ?
I don't mind negative comments as long as they are constructive, yours is just trolling. Next comment like this is going to spam.
Please don't waste my time.
LikwidSkwiD28 May 2011 @ 11:56
Well, so I checked twice and must admit your INF file is identical with the Asus one. BUT, still on my system the wrong driver gets installed. Sorry if I sounded rude, I was just mad cause I tried EVERYTHING to get your driver working but failed. And I wish they did, pity though.
Nevermind. I'll try the next release of yours 😉
Samyk28 May 2011 @ 03:46
Thanks for making such a great driver.
But i have the same request as wolverinE has. I'm using the card with headphones and an external amp. So it would be real nice to have seperate volumesettings, like in the original driver. There you can chose a headphonesetting (depending on the imedance of your phones) and have sepearte volumecontrol for each speaker-channel. Maybe you could implement the original functionality of choosing between different headphoneattenuations and not changeing the outputlevel itself.
Thanks.
CarvedInside28 May 2011 @ 04:50
But at least in my case, headphones and front speakers share the same jack output. What do you mean be original driver?
Rod Mell29 May 2011 @ 17:08
I wrote the quote below on May 25. Didn't get an answer so still wondering if there is a mod you could do to make this possible. If not I would appreciate being told that so I can try to work out another way to deal with it.
I really appreciate all the work you have done on making these wonderful drivers available to us.
Thanks,
Rod

Sorry , your comment was lost in "traffic".
No its not possible, the only thing that may be possible is to send 5.1 SPDIF and 5.1 analog at the same time.
anonymous30 May 2011 @ 07:01
when listing to stuff via spdif or playing movie, I always get some pop sounds whenever I play or pause/unpause. this is especially annoying when watching movies, because often then the sound disappears completely and it either takes a bit until it comes back again automatically or I have to do more pause/unpausing again, until its back.
is this normal with this version of the drivers?
CarvedInside30 May 2011 @ 19:34
Yes, if the pops are present in the Asus drivers as well (~same version).
Also try to install the driver with C-media Panel, & try not to launch Asus Xonar Audio Panel until you check if you can steal hear pops.
anonymous31 May 2011 @ 21:53
unfortunately that doesnt change anything, even if I dont start any control centre at the start.

Thanks very much for the response, even though you said it 's not possible. At least now I know so I can look for other ways to solve my problem.
