Dear Carved!
You must think now, what a dumass!
But I have to ask you one last time for the xonar delay-settings in the registry. My problem is, everytime, I reistall my system I get messed up with my f***ing Outlook-Datafiles. So I lost my "Save"-Folder again. But I promise, this time I will do a hardcopy ...
Many thanks,
Winnie

Your welcome.

Hi, first thank you for this driver, it is a good piece of work.
To support it I'd like to repurt a bug I noticed,
dunno if other people experience it to.
The problem is:
Sometimes the channel ordner (using 8- or 6-channel) is mixed up,
meaning sound is shifted to the left.
I need to reboot to fix it. yeah, that is very general in description,
any idea how I can isolate the problem ?
Greetings
Alex

I installed the latest UNi Xonar drivers for my Xonar D1 and I have an issue... After installing Win7 x64 SP1 said that the digital signature is bad or damaged, so not worked with 7.12.8.1793 driver INF so I needed to change it to ASUS driver's 7.12.8.1792.
How can it be fixed to use the latest driver?

Still can't figure out how to properly install and configure asio support for Essence ST card so it would play 24/88.2 files.

Is there any way to change the language of the Xonar softwares? It is displaying the language set in my system locale(chinese) which i only used to display unicode chinese character when necessary, I wanna make it English instead if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, when plugging in a headphone via the front panel, it switches the audio to headphone but upon unplugging, it does not go back to default, I had to switch it manually via the media center, is this normal? I have never used the original drivers so I cannot compare, anyhow if this is a bug I hope you could fix it, thanks in advance.

Is there any way to change the ASIO settings?
The Bit-Depth and Latency settings are greyed out for me in the ASIO Control Panel.
Thanks.
Con19 Jun 2011 @ 10:41
Is this happen in Xonar Control Panel? If you have another applications witch use ASIO, try to open ASIO setting from there. As usually it is an application witch use ASIO, witch has took over the control of ASIO settings. If you restart the computer you can have the chance to get back the setting control in Xonar Control Panel....

tobi20 Jun 2011 @ 12:25
I had this problem when foobar2000 crashed while using ASIO. After that the settings where greyed out even after a restart. I had to play audio via ASIO in foobar again and then end foobar normally. After that I could change the settings again.

Hi CarvedInside,
Recently installed your drivers in hopes of removing the background noise that my headset mic picks up when using Ventrilo/VOIP. Unfortunately the problem still persists. 🙁
I am currently using a Corsair HS1A and ASUS Xonar DG setup and have yet to find a way to remove the background noise my mic picks up. I'm truly at a loss as I did not have this issue with my previous USB Headset. I also tested the headset on a different computer and there was no issues at all, which leads me to believe it's a Xonar issue.
Any help/feedback would be appreciated it. 🙂

Hello Carved,
I bought an Auzentech X-Meridian 2g this week, and installed it on my Win 7 x64 machine. I installed uni-xonar 1.31 directly with the options C-Media Panel + GX enabled (without installing the Auzentech drivers).
The drivers worked like a charm, without any issues. I was able to set the x-mer as the default sound card under Windows, and the Uni Xonar Media panel works great.
Feedback for a few small things that I noticed are as below -
1) If I play a full bass only track (over headphones), I hear a low crackling noise which pops every few seconds. It is very hard to distinguish any crackling if normal sound tracks (bass + mids + treble) are played. This could be due to the x-mer having a different front amp on the card to the xonars, but I'm not sure of this one.
2) The Asus Xonar panel will not open up, but that kind of makes sense, since it is a meridian card. The panel software may have a device id check.
3) I could not enable GX on the card. I tried to download the win7_GX_start.bat file from this website, but the ftp site is not reachable. If you could upload the bat file somewhere else, or post the registry switches that need to be changed on the website, it would be of great help. I really want to try and get GX to work on my meridian 2g.
I did not see any posts from folks on the internet who own a meridian 2g and are using the latest uni-xonar drivers on Win7 x64, so I put in my 2 cents feedback. Hope it helps.
Also, if you would like me to test any future builds of uni-xonar on a meridian 2g card, just let me know. I would be glad to help out.
Thanks again for these great drivers.

Hi,
Whenever I try to click on the mixer tab, I get a system error AppCrash. Specifications: Win7x64, Xonar: ST, STX, D1, CM mode drivers.
Filipe25 Jun 2011 @ 19:08
I have the same problem, in Win7 64, Xonar D2/PM with Cmedia AP 1.31 pack.
And another strange thing that i see, when i switch from analog to coax in my Z-5500, the subwoofer and center channels changes.
Exactly: In analog mode on "Z", the Center/Sub goes to L/B and to R/B, in test mode, with 5.1 upmix on CPanel, upmix on MPC, etc..., with no solution. But in Coax, all work fine and send right signal to channels (the Xonar and my DVD Player). For now, the only "fix" that i made: swapped the cable of C/S to L/S/B speakers on card, to analogs sends channels correctly. I don't try another driver build.

Asus - you should be ashamed of yourself - when will these companies realise that poor support costs them money - no way would I upgrade to another Asus audiocard if I hadn't fixed this problem - and I love the DX I really do.
Asus - this guy's work means I'll buy another one of your cards - you should be rewarding him big time..........
After getting constant (around once every 2 - 3 hours) "soundloop" problems on my DX while running L4D2 (I can't speak for other titles as I've only really played L4D2 over the past 18 months or so) I was almost ready to give up on my Asus DX . I've tried everything to solve the problem, and If i wasn't so impressed with the card otherwise, I would have binned it a year ago.
Running Win 7 64 with SP1 I installed 1.31-tb v6.exe (V7 failed for me) with no unsigned driver issues and with the low latency option ticked - AND NOT A SINGLE SOUNDLOOP ISSUE IN L4D2 since the day I installed it 3 weeks ago.
Many Thanks Carved!

@Alexa:
I have tried to install the modified Realtek driver (Windows 7 64bit only) but it always fails with the following error:
Installation of Realtek HD Audio Driver failed [Error Code: -0001]
These were the instructions I followed:
1. Make sure Onboard Realtek HD Chip enabled in BIOS -> Realtek ALC888
2. Uninstall Asus & Realtek Driver (additional cleaning with Driver Sweeper)
3. Install Unified Driver 1793 v1.31 (Version: Normal)
4. Install modified Realtek Driver -> Error
Do you have an idea how to fix this?
