Xonar Restoree ID extended

Restoree is a tool that can restore the original contents of the EEPROM when Xonar cards are no longer recognized properly. The EEPROM stores a card's hardware ID that is used to identify a device, in this case which kind of audio card model it is. The stored ID can became corrupted which causes the card to not be detected by the drivers or be wrongfully detected as a different card with different features and options and with some settings not working properly.

I've extended the original restoree.exe with support for the following cards:

  • Xonar STX II: PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_8788&SUBSYS_85F41043
  • Xonar DG SI: PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_8788&SUBSYS_855E1043

Follow this guide on how to create a USB bootable disk and use restoree.exe to restore the original hardware ID of your card but use restoree.exe from this page if you need it for Xonar STX II* or Xonar DG SI cards.

*At the time of publishing this updated version, the original restoree did not support STX II cards. Now you can use either one for STX II cards.

Hi!! I always enjoyed in sound card , so I decide to upgrade my old SB Audigy 4 with Asus Xonar D2/PM (second hand), but when installing I have an issue: device not founded.
I found my D2 has overwritten EEPROM
    PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_8788&SUBSYS_82491043 My (Xonar D2)
    PCI\VEN_13F6&DEV_8788&SUBSYS_82691043 OK (Xonar D2)
Restoring the EEPROM using USB flash disk and restoree file I got this error: I/O ports are not enabled.
Searching on google I didn't find a solution. If any of you have a similar experience I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance!

      What motherboard do you have?
Try plugging the card in different PCI slots and try there to restore the EEPROM. If you have another PC with a PCI slot, try there too.
If those do not work, probably there is something else wrong with Xonar card. If this is the case and you want to exhaust all options, you could try to to force install the driver as described at "Possible solution 1" from this page, but I kind of doubt it will work properly.

        MBO: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 (rev. 4.0)
I would like to first restore the EEPROM: Booting from CD or Booting from floppy, but I need two files: ISO file (restore_eeprom.iso) and floppy image (floppy.img).
Download from the site Alsa Xonar EEPROM Failure does not work so if you can help me please.

        Thanks in advance.

You made a mess with your previous replies that I asked you to make. You didn't even bother to check afterwards if you've replied correctly. This kind of behavior is really pushing my patience and willingness to help you. You'll have to make more of an effort if you want to be welcomed here.

The downloads do not work because the browser you are using is blocking http downloads links from https pages. The links would work if you copy-pasted them in a new tab. For reference, here are the links that you need to copy paste in a new tab:
