If I understand correctly I will not be able to use the Sonata front panel and I will have to get a HD front panel audio header? Thanks in advance.

Anyone on Win 10 fast ring to check if 10166 solved the channel/sample issue?
Gyrxiur10 Jul 2015 @ 09:27
I've just tried and it looks good, switched bits, hz, number of speakers and it still works.
Igor10 Jul 2015 @ 13:50
I can confirm that all channel/rate variants work on 10166.
Igor10 Jul 2015 @ 14:10
But I still get stuttering sound on YouTube in Chrome, Steam and other places when I set sampling rate 96 or 192 kHz (reguardless of Bit Depth) on Xonar DX (wasn't the case on Win 8.1, but is on every Win 10 build).
Tao of Doge10 Jul 2015 @ 19:39
must be chrome specific problem. FF works fine on YT with 96 and 192khz on my xonar dx. stay with FF, chrome has too much google's spyware
UNi Xonar 1816/1822 v1.75a r2 on win 10 tp 10166
Igor13 Jul 2015 @ 23:16
There was no stuttering on Win 7 and 8.1 in Chrome and Steam (which you can't replace with Firefox), it's only on Win 10.
Igor17 Jul 2015 @ 01:18
The issue with stuttering is resolved by reinstalling the driver once again. What a relief.
Igor17 Jul 2015 @ 03:16
False joy. It started again.
Jayson01 Aug 2015 @ 08:04
Have you found a solution to this?
Just got windows 10, and I can confirm that it is a problem affecting chrome. As soon as I turn it up to 192khz, chrome starts stuttering. Everything else is fine.
Eli10 Jul 2015 @ 15:13
Great! Thanks.
Have you tried matching the sampling rate in the asus panel with the one in the windows sound panel (double click on speakers > advanced tab). I've always been suspicious that these aren't synced, for every other soundcard I've had changing one also changes the other.
Gyrxiur10 Jul 2015 @ 15:22
I always change these to match. Because who knows if xonar settings really override windows settings.
Eli10 Jul 2015 @ 19:27
You tried disabling the PCI-E power saving features on windows?
I've also heard that some cards don't play nice with C1E in BIOS.
Martin13 Jul 2015 @ 20:35
yes win 10 b 10166 is working OK tried switching bitrates, channels...
Christopher Jones26 Jul 2015 @ 18:38
Thank you for the drivers. I just installed windows 10 Build 10240 and no sound support for xonar dg. Installed this driver and sound works okay using spdif to a surround sound
AMOCO14 Jul 2015 @ 13:16
I can confirm working on Windows 10 Build:10166,Glad to have my sound card back,(Xonar DG)

Asus has a new beta driver for STXII. According to what they say, it included a new audio center version and it should fix the issue with ASIO 64 bits.
Is there a possibility to have an update of unixonar based on this new release?
CarvedInside16 Jul 2015 @ 18:14
I will release an update in the coming days.
Gracus16 Jul 2015 @ 19:03
Thanks
Harley22 Jul 2015 @ 16:17
Silly question, but will this update also apply to Xonar DX's?
CarvedInside22 Jul 2015 @ 16:59
The new update does not contain new audio drivers just some newer components (ASUS Audio Center and ASIO). It will work just like 1.75b drivers work.
holz00716 Jul 2015 @ 20:29
After update to build 10240 my STX I is not talking to me - stock driver for 8.1 64bit works fine (but is a pain to use)
pummetje23 Jul 2015 @ 00:49
try to reinstall the latest unified driver it works fine for me with stx 1 on build 10240
pummetje16 Jul 2015 @ 21:41
will the unified drivers be updated to newer versions on the release day of windows 10?
they work great and they are awesome and hope to continue to use it with windows 10 and the STX ( older model)
thanks alot
CarvedInside16 Jul 2015 @ 23:53
I've already written the answer to the question. See "Notes about Windows 10 Technical Preview builds and Windows 10 RTM compatibility" in the post above.
dilla22 Jul 2015 @ 16:06
Thanks for making another Windows 10 (10240) user happy with these sweet drivers. 🙂 Didn't noticed any issues so far.
Bilba23 Jul 2015 @ 23:21
When i switch to Front panel headphone, 7.1 virtual speakers and dolby headphone automatically disable in xonar audio center, is there a way to keep those options always activated?
Eli24 Jul 2015 @ 16:47
Oh, yes, this please. It's so annoying that it doesn't remember your last setting.
🙁
Laamapalmu24 Jul 2015 @ 16:20
Any idea, no matter what I connect to 3.5mm output I can only hear right speaker well so I have to balance it. Is there a quick fix for it or do I have to reinstall drivers? Win 8.1 Pro 64-Bit v1.75a
Chris Leipold24 Jul 2015 @ 16:34
Maybe your cable is broken or your card is faulty.
Laamapalmu24 Jul 2015 @ 17:18
Probably the card. I don't think that 3 different speakers/headphones break up in 6 hours.
Meruko25 Jul 2015 @ 02:33
Hello!
I have the weirdest problem here: I recently changed my motherboard to a newer model (the old one was slowly dying). I have an Essence STX II and since the motherboard switch, I started on a fresh Windows install.
When I first set up my sound card, I couldn't force Windows to output throught SPDIF in 192 000Hz, it cuts the sound completely. On 96 000Hz, it sounds, well... Pretty horrible. The highest frequency it will now properly work at is 48 000Hz. As a workaround, I used the regular Speaker outpout, since this one works properly, but the sound quality isn't as good. I've been stuck like this since May. I've tried both Asus' official drivers (the problem is worst) and yours (more stable, but still not working like I would like it to).
Today I tried forcing it through SPDIF and I noticed the weirdest thing. While it works on lower frequencies, the Audio Center doesn't receive any signal. I can't make any changes to the sound processing through it as long as I'm still in SPDIF either. I also tried the XonarSwitch app, it also sees it as dead.
I've been searching for solutions and trying anything I could think of with no results, so I thought you may have a better idea of what's going on.
Thank you for any response, I would gladly appreciate any input on the matter!

Hi, I'm still waiting for help... I'm pretty sure I'm missing something, maybe a driver, but despite all my efforts, nothing has changed...

So sometimes my 3.5mm jack microphone doesn't work out of a the blue until I restart my PC. Any idea why this happens? I have an Nvidia card which I have googled around and it seems like maybe the GeForce Experience Shadowplay program does not like Xonars, I will test this with it off.
Catalin26 Jul 2015 @ 11:36
Hi
There are random moments where i have no sound through speakers but if i switch to headphones it is.I have to restart the pc to get sound again.

Dear god, have I finally found the cure for these disgusting popping sounds that have been driving me crazy as of late?
Thank you, good people!

Not sure whether to upgrade to win10 or not because of my Xonar DGX. Will I lose anything in sound quality? Does Windows 10 still benefit from using ASIO or did they improve the audio quality there, if so then why would I even install a driver with preinstalled ASIO.
Leper30 Jul 2015 @ 03:45
OMG Amazing, i thought i was shit out of luck when i upgraded to windows 10 but this shit works great for my Xonar DS. Thanks Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
