Sorry for my bad english for knowledge if you do not understand it properly. A problem with the new driver to a freshly installed I adjust the microphone works but as you start to use Teamspeak then it stopped working.

Make sure your microphone is set as default device in Windows Volume -> Recording Devices. Check That is also set as the recording device in TeamSpeak.
If that does not work, try plugging the microphone in the onboard audio card and make that the default device in Windows Volume -> Recording Devices and TeamSpeak and see if that works.

Here's hoping the Audio fix in Threshold 2 will actually fix that terrible, seemingly random, squealing high pitch sound that makes me throw my headphones at the wall. It happened twice to me this week alone, after months of nothing.

I hope so too, I have this once or twice a month, so it's not that bad but it's still really terrible when it happens. And there's nothing you can do but restart...

Dear Developers of UNI Xonar drivers,

First of all, thank you for your work!

Is it possible to implement a room correction dsp (parametric eq; delay; impulse response correction) only for the spdif out? I imagined separate profiles for pcm, dd, dts.
Since i use my PC as source for movies and music with an old av receiver (HarmanKardon AVR8500) It would be cool if i could control thoose parameters from the driver because the receiver itself lacks thoose features (only level, delay can be controlled but the sound and the power it delivers are very satisfactory).

    Regards

    Mr. Pige0n from Hungary

My question is hardware related and I hope someone can answer... The Xonar Essence STX board needs an extra power connection through a 4-pin molex cable. Does anybody know if this power requirement is for 12Volts or 5 Volts, or both (a 4-pin molex cable supplies both 12 and 5 volts). I need to know if the Xonar Essence STX will function even if I don't supply the extra 5 Volt input (only the 12 Volt input).

Don't pin me down on this one but I've been told that the 5V from the molex is used to power the Asmedia PCIe bridgechip. So that would mean that the 5V is mandatory for the STX to function if it's true.

My bad, i meant the PLX PCIe bridgechip of course. I was with my mind with the STX II which does use an Asmedia PCIe bridgechip.

Windows Defender in Windows 10 flagged v1.80a r3 with Trojan:Win32/Spursint.A . Anyone else having this issue or is Defender overprotective?

v1.80a r3, Xonar DGX. Skype test call working, microphone works fine. But in the normal call Skype kills the microphone, you can't even see the volume indicator moving at the windows sound settings. That wasn't problem with v1.75a r2.

Can you test with 1.75a again and see if you have the issue or not and report back? I will try to reproduce the issue myself with 1.80a drivers.

I checked and microphone works fine for me on skype calls using same OS, skype and driver version as you. The problem you are having might be from something else.

I get poping and crackling sounds in Windows 10 using the Normal Asus mode, and Low DPC latency mode. I've tried changing the sample rate and bit depth in windows and the C-media panel.
I also changed the power options of the CPU to 100%. No luck.
    Any ideas?

Those drivers have the same audio driver (1823) as UNi Xonar 1.80a. So nothing new but thanks for the heads up.

cannot get this thing to output in DTS over SPDIF out it just keeps showing PCM 44.1 (doesnt even give the option for DTS)in the Xonar DG audio center.

my audio receiver keeps showing it as PCM 44.1

even in the windows sound control option it wont do a test sound for DTS just Dolby pro logic but when i try to play stuff it wont even play it in dolby pro logic just PCM 44.1

i have a Xonar DG with windows 10. bought the xonar DG cause i couldnt get DTS 3/2+1 with the onboard sound card anymore. any suggestions????

    Hi there, haven't updated my audio drivers in many months and I'm hoping doing so will stop the odd problem I have been experiencing;

A couple of weeks ago I was swapping out my GPU with another for testing, must've pulled slightly on the molex for my STX II, the driver told me it wouldn't work properly when I logged in so I shut down immediately and plugged it in fully. Since then, almost every day at least once I will get a very odd audio glitch. It's as if a split second of audio is repeating just once and it is just for a split second. I haven't been able to force it to happen with combinations of youtube playing & alt-tabbing from a game or whatever (which is when I have noticed it the most), but as it happens when I'm on the desktop with winamp playing and no game alt-tabbed, I'm wondering if by not having the sound card plugged in properly those weeks ago that I broke something on it. :/

I thought the problem would go away as 2 days ago I installed all-new hardware (except the soundcard and SSD windows boots from) but I heard it again last night and today. I haven't done a fresh windows install, so if the fresh driver install doesn't fix it I'll try that. If the fresh windows install doesn't fix it .. I'll cry 🙁

Just wondered if I might be missing something obvious, or if anyone might have experienced this before?

For reference it's 64-bit win10, STX II (not the 7.1) set to 2 channels, PCM 96 KHz, headphone out @ 64-300 ohms

If the molex connector was having connection on and off repeatedly I think it could cause some damage to the card, but I am not sure if the problem that you have is the result of that.
Before concluding that the card is defective you should cross out the following:
      1) Reinstall the drivers.
      2) HDD/SDD errors could cause this. Do a scan disk on all disks and check logs for bad sectors. Check HDD/SDD S.M.A.R.T. data. You could also try your card in another system.
      3) It's happening because of a HDD waking from being turned off by power saving. Go to Control Panel-> Power Options-> Hard Disk-> Change current plan settings -> Change advanced power settings-> Turn off hard disk after -> Setting:never
      4) Some issue with Windows 10. You should check the card with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 and see if you still get the issues. Windows 10 is pretty crappy IMHO and has a lot of problems where previous Windows versions had none. Maybe your problem is caused from one of those forced untested enough updates.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you find the problem.

      See FAQ Q&A 12.

      Update 1 Nov 2015:
I've submitted the file to Microsoft Malware Protection Center for investigation as a false positive and they confirmed that the driver is not detected as malware with current Windows Defender antivirus database. So anyone having problem with Windows Defender should manually update its database.

        That's not really any help.

Chrome and IE block before you can even download it and I have 0 anti virus programs installed.

I tried 3 apps IE, FireFox and Chrome and they all refuse to even download it.

You have to temporary disable the antivirus protection. Or try downloading older driver versions. Which antivirus program do you have?

LE: You have Windows Defender disabled as well? Maybe it's because of SmartScreen Filter protection. You could try downloading older driver versions.

I also have this problem: IE and Chrome (Windows Defender) won't even allow download of the UNi Xonar 1816/1823 v1.80a r3 package saying it contains a virus. I disabled Windows Defender in Win10 and installed Symantec Endpoint and it also picks up a virus in that download and blocks it. As a last resort, I uninstalled Endpoint and ran a trial of bitdefender which also detects a virus. The previous downloads do not do this. It looks like it actually has malware.

1.80 drivers do not contain malware. Here you have the virustotal.com report. If you wish, you can re-submit the driver files on your own and see.
About 2 hours ago I've tried downloading and installing the drivers on Windows 10 + Windows Defender and no virus alarms where triggered. My Windows 10 is not updated but Windows Defender was updated.
I think something other than the antivirus is blocking the 1.80 drivers from downloading. Maybe SmartScreen Filter or some other protection that is installed on your system or browsers.

Which OS and card do you have? Which audio drivers did you had previously?

Not sure if its related to the drivers, at least the freeze at the system bios initialization is not related.

Could it be that the driver 1.75a and 1.80a r.3 sound differently when listening to? In 1.80a r.3 more than treble.

Could be possible. RMAA benchmark shows a slight difference between 1822 (from v1.75a) and 1823 (from v1.80a) audio drivers.
