    Sorry for absence.
But I back with nice some nice stuff: http://www.mediafire.com/?n0c0cicm0i2b8vq
ASIO 2.0.0.10, look and feel as 1.0. No clicking/poping etc. and works with 1794 !
Please test, if this work well on all Xonars then ASIO Patch is deprecated 😀

Just tested it but no luck, im still having clicking/poping 🙁 . So far i have no luck with asio except with asio patch v1.0 , even with asio4all i have had problems. I stopped trying and im using wasapi plugin with no problems. I think the sound of asio is better than with wasapi though, at least with my ears 😉 , and my decent hifi (yamaha a/v receiver and B&W speakers/sub), and has smaller latency (not that matters in audio quality).

      Tested with Asus D2X, win 7 32bit sp1, uni drivers 1.41 c-media panel, foobar v1.1.9

Seems to work quite well 🙂

Btw CarvedInside do you guys plan on releasing a driver based fix for the dynamic volume issue when there are 2 active sound sources?

Is this ASIO for 32 or 64 bit version? also, where do i need to copy these files?

For my Xonar DG I always hear static when I turn on the amp(because of the extra power?). So in the c-media when I change the setting the headphone the static comes on. So I'm guessing that turns on the amp, but I don't know what setting it is set at. So i guess I'll just set it on 2 speakers because I don't like the static. But these drivers are still awesome, I no longer get cracking and popping when starting, stopping, or changing my songs in itunes. Thank! also using JVC Rx900's if that matters.

You hear static only with UNi Xonar drivers? And the same audio driver version (lets say 1794)? Or only with C-Media Panel?

      • Rawr20 Nov 2011 @ 22:34

No I mean I get static when I turn the headphone amp on either one. I was guess the C-Media Panel one turns the amp on when I change it to headphone mode because I hear the little static come on when I switch to that setting. There's just no option to change amp setting. Is the amp not supposed to cause static?

C-Media Panel is missing some options, but I don't know if it automatically turns on the amp. You can check this by looking at the registry settings. In the FAQ here on the site you will find how to find where are those settings stored. Switch to headphones one time with C-Media Panel and one time with Asus Audio Center and export the registry for both. You can either compare them yourself or send them to me. The registry settings should be exactly the same.

Honestly I don't know if its supposed to cause static sound, maybe someone with the same card as yours can shed some light, so you know if its a problem with your card or not.

be sure to have SVN turned off.... may be that this is causing the background noise...

Any hope to see autoswitch when headphones are plugged in front panel implemented? I really lack this feature, even my onboard audio could do it :<

Thanks for fixing asus' sloppy work by the way!

      Probably not.
Xonar DG has front panel autodetection, i'm not sure if its hardware or software based. When I have more time I will look into this.

The Asus xonar One drivers include 2.2 asio.
Can this be used for the internal cards or its for usb only?

What exactly is the changelog for the 1796 audio drivers? I can't seem to find anything on Asus support...

There isn't any change-log. Not that the Asus one was ever really relevant.
      They aren't from Asus.

The requirement of testing-mode for x64 is a new thing? I've been using these drivers for x64 for a while and haven't had to use testing mode.

No, if it worked before, then it should work now. Do that only if you can't install the driver or if it doesn't work because driver signature is missing.

For me it always worked fine, but now, i've tried to install this 1.50 Exp1 version and after rebooting card is not being detected (there is a red circle with a white cross inside in the taskbar, over the speaker symbol). I've tried using the bat file to enable test mode and it worked the first time, but after rebooting the system the card is not working again...

@CarvedInside the new v1.5 driver set requires that test mode for me, whereas the others never caused a problem before with driver signatures. Something I should worry about? I also have to keep test mode on?

You don't have to worry. This is just a temporary solution.
But there is no problem in keeping windows in test mode. And that watermark can be removed.

Good to hear Carved. I thought and hoped that u say its only temporary solution. For me personally its a big problem to run in test mode. Its not named test mode for fun. Every app or program can run an unsigned driver without my notification. Think about hardwarevirus! No fun!

But so far good work and thx for a temporary solution. Hope u fix it asap. Tried some maybe solutions but none worked for me. Maybe u find a valid signature in Auzentechs 7.12.8.1796 driver package?

Under test mode everythings runs normal. But in normal mode it stop working.

Did you had problems with any other Uni Xonar drivers not counting v 1.41 which contained a valid signature.

Thanks for the feedback, at least I know that the test mode works (at least for some).

1.41 and before worked just fine, the new ones doesn't. (They run in normal mode.
I run it in normal and test mode. There isn't specific click coming from the card, when it should be, when installing, or switching on/off.
    Win7 x64, Xonar D2 🙁

Did you have problems with older drivers, like 1.40 or older?
Did the watermark with Test Mode appear in the right bottom corner? If so, can you try to install the 1.50 driver again?

For me the watermark in the right bottom is not visible when using test mode, also, i've been using your drivers from the first versions and i haven't had any problems... till now

How do you know that test mode has been properly activated if the watermark is not visible? That could be your problem.

I know it because the driver works until next reboot... i've downgraded to the previous version anyway... cause i don't like to use test mode (for security reasons)

What is new/improved with 1.50 over 1.41? (As previously reported there is no change-log...)

I have been happily running 1.41 (1794) on Windows 7 x64 and would like to know if it is worth going through the unsigned-driver test-mode workarounds for this. I checked the official page (I have the Xonar Slim) and it only shows the 1794 driver; since there is no "official" 1796 driver, is that why this one is unsigned?

Thanks much in advance! I look forward to new/improved/enhanced features, but I will wait for a response first...

I don't know whats new or improved. As I previously said, the change log from Asus wasn't to help full, containing only some of the changes/improvements that where made. What I think is that from C-Media are trying through a painfully slow process to improve and make some fixes to the drivers.

The drivers where taken from Auzentech Meridian 2G card, but the driver signature file wasn't the one corresponding these drivers, and I wasn't able to make them match.

Hmm, well even though I am a nut about always having the newest drivers, if even you do not know what advantages this holds, I think I will hold-off for now until more data comes in. I do not like the idea of always running my computer in test-mode unless I have a real good reason to do-so. (As someone stated above, it is s not just called "test mode" for fun: it does open the door for other, possibly dangerous, unsigned drivers etc...)

I will keep checking this thread daily; I am definitely looking forward to any improvements - I am currently max-ing out my my video and audio cards running madVR etc with bit-streamed DTS-MA and TrueHD...)

Thanks for the response and the continued work on this!!!

I also cant anymore install these due signature issue (disabling driver signature enforces while bootting seems working until I boot again)
Before these drivers everything have installed nicely.
Asus xonar stx with windows 7 ultimate x64 & asus xonar stx with 7 professional x64 same issue.
