Xonar Essence STX II on a Gigabyte Aorus Elite v2 (B450) with a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and Windows 7 works perfectly.

Asus Xonar DX with MSI B450-A PRO MAX (uefi: 7B86vMK). Works fine except for the bugs below
1. The bug with the right channel mute appears quite often. FIX: Restart Asus Xonar DX in Device Manager or PC reboot
2. Loud white noise appeared when restoring browser tabs with youtube videos after restarting the edge browser (May appear in other scenarios too i guess). FIX: Turn off HPET in Device Manager (I'm not completely sure about this method, but at least the white noise was gone)

Works fine, although the very first time the driver loaded when you could hear the relays on the card switch, the system hard rebooted, but fine and stable since then.

In my situation, I have had problems only when installing the driver, not during the work. So during the installation, it just rebooted the pc after the soundcard click. I have tried all the options, but none of it worked
But, the main question was in the other thing. Previously I have used Intel motherboard, so when I have installed soundcard, there were no ptoblems. So I have just put my ssd with windows 11 to the new motherboard and it worked just fine. The problem was, when I have installed clean windows and was not able to install driver for the sound card.
so, how I have solved it.
used CMD from windows PE, it can be shown in the additional reboot parameters and installed the driver through the dism command, something like
dism.exe /image:X: /Add-Driver /driver:X:\drivers location /recurse /ForceUnsigned
Where X is the disk, where your system is located and you can check the actual path to your driver through the notepad, so beforehand enter notepad command and use save as and you will be able to search the actual driver location folder, so you can copy it and put into previous command. For now I don't have any program that can control the sound card except the windows sound manager, but on this computer I need only RCA output. But as I have said previously, the asus control program worked without any problems before I have reinstalled windows.
When I try to install the full pack, it will reboot my system.
So other option maybe is to put your ssd with windows into other intel system, install the program and driver there and put it back into your AMD motherboard.
At least that was my situation

Hi there! I have Win10 21H1, D2, ASUS PRIME-B350-PLUS with Ryzen 1700 and recently swapped it to Ryzen 5600X. And when I done that UNI XONAR CENTER app(UNi-Xonar-W10-1825-v1.81a-r2) stopped working. When I try to launch it window appears and says "Can't find any device". So I moved to XonarSwitch which is work fine.
STX II, latest official drivers (STX_II_8_1_11_5_for_win10) with motherboard Asus TUF X570-PLUS with latest BIOS (Version 5031) everything works OK on windows 11 Pro (24H2). Looks like they manage to resolve problems that they had with this combo.

Upgraded from 10900k and Z490 Apex with Xonar D2X running in PCIe 1x Slot on this config.
Was working Flawless for over 3 Years.
Upgraded to x870e Apex with 9950x3d and Xonar D2X in PCIe 1x Slot.
Youtube and Games always crashed when fast forward or playing Sound.
Random crashes etc.
Now after Weeks of testing i put the Xonar D2X in the Second PCIe 16x Slot and it works flawless since Days.
No more crashes on Youtube and games, runs like before with the Intel Config.

Result: Many many BODS - which at first i wasn't sure where they came from. Initially card was on official Asus drivers. Uni-Xonar driver listed above is what i ended up using - after solving BSOD's. I can verify BSODs due to sound card incompatibilty is resolved - it had been trouble free for 4 months by now.
BSOD symptoms were always the same: card relays click and off we go... In my case, usually when triggering recording via OBS.
Solution or suggestion i found here in these comments but can't pinpoint which exact comment it is now, didn't bookmark it.
What solved BSOD's for me was EXPLICITLY setting PCIE bios settings as follows:
PCI_E1 Gen Switch: Gen3 (so VGA slot)
Chipset Gen Switch: Gen1
PCI_E1 Lanes Configuration: Auto
ASPM Control for CPU PCIe: Disabled
I don't exactly recall the order how i adjusted each, but think "Chipset gen switch" and PCI_E1 switch explicitly defined was the solution for me.
Hello everyone! Here is a solution for the ASUS XONAR D2X sound card to prevent sudden PC reboots (I believe this will also help with the Xonar Essence STX II, but I am not 100% sure since I do not own that card).
To fix this, install a small program called SoundKeeper v1.3.5. Extract it and move the SoundKeeper64 file to your desktop. Run it and check Task Manager to confirm that the SoundKeeper process is running. Next, press Win+R, type the command shell:startup, and press Enter. This will open the Startup folder. Drag the SoundKeeper file from your desktop into this folder. Finally, restart your PC and check Task Manager again to verify that SoundKeeper is running in the background. That's it! Enjoy your audio without any sudden PC reboots.
Do not waste your time tweaking the BIOS. I tried disabling every possible power-saving feature, and I even tried fixing the CPU frequency and the NBIO (Northbridge) frequency — none of this yielded any results.
Windows power plans did not help either.
Using MSI Mode did not yield any results either.
My PC configuration:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: RX 6600 XT
Here is another detail that might be useful for the UNi Xonar developer: previously, my setup had an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. With that processor, sudden PC reboots occurred roughly once every two weeks or maybe once every ten days. In short, it was something I could live with. However, after I upgraded the CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700X, the sudden reboots started happening almost every day, sometimes even multiple times a day, making the PC unbearable to use.
I want to thank the community and the author of the UNi Xonar drivers for trying to solve this issue. I hope this information helps someone. By the way, even though people say the Realtek S1200A audio codec built into my motherboard has great sound and specs, to my ears, it falls significantly short compared to the old-school ASUS XONAR D2X. No matter what they write on the forums about the ASUS XONAR being outdated, these cards still deliver beautiful sound.
